Intermittent line noise that I need to track down on receive. Transmit seems to be working good so far. Dipole is at 10 meters high.

I am using a four-square receive array. This was at my sunrise, but I was listening perpendicular to the most likely path. We did have geo storm, so I am thinking this was a skewed path that the signal followed. Anyone else observing interesting prop on 40 or 80 in the last 24 hours?

This is absolutely incredible what I heard from these other stations with very low power:

Can't believe that I am being heard with that little power. Measured with LP WN-2, not guessing at 10 mW. 135,735 miles per watt.

Heard by VK6XT, basically my antipode. Can't get any further away than that. I have maximized the distance.

Next step is to reduce from 100 mW to 50 mW and see what happens.

TS480SAT, 100 mW, SignaLink. But I must confess that I am using a Hex Beam at 40 feet. That's a definite advantage over a wire antenna.

This time on 20 meters, not 10 meters.

10 meters to VK, and I was using my off-center-fed dipole. 100 mW still amazes me. 153,335 km/watt = 95,834 miles per watt. Of course, this assumes short path to VK, not really sure how to tell if it was LP or not. VOACAP lines up nicely with short path at that time, and that's good enough for me!

Running 100 mW into a hex beam pointed SE from FM06, the conditions are incredible today.

OK, just two days of experience with WSPR.

1. On 20 meters with 1 watt and a Miracle Whip INDOORS, pretty cool what can be accomplished.
2. On 30 meters with an outside end-fed half wave wire at 20 feet high horizontal, 0.5 watts, very impressive.
3. Not much results on 20 after sunset.
4. 30 is ALWAYS open to somewhere.
5. The database queries are cool.
6. Is there any analysis being performed on the data, like what was done with PropNETPSK several years ago?
