This balloon using Ultimate3/3S QRSS/WSPR TX firmware is transmitting CW, JT9 and WSPR. The primary tracking mechanism is the WSPR messages (which are converted to the map points shown on the web page). There are two messages, the first one is a regular WSPR message, the special second one replaces callsign/locator/power with bits representing the 5th/6th Maidenhead locator characters, Altitude, Groundspeed, Battery voltage, Temperature, and GPS/Satellite status. The Special WSPR message will always show up in logs with the 1st character of the callsign 0, and the 3rd character 2. So callsigns 0x2xxx belong to the balloon. This will never interfere with any regular WSPR user since "0" prefixes are never allocated by the ITU. More details are on the web page http://qrp-labs.com/ultimate3/ve3kcl-balloons/ve3kcl-s7.html
